Visiting Of St. Stephen Childrens Home, Embu

Bimas Kenya Ltd visited St. Stephen Children Home in Embu on 24th December, 2019 where it presented to them Christmas gifts and shared with them Christmas cake. This is part of corporate social responsibility the company does to the society it is operating in. Others include adapting a ward at Nyeri Level Four Hospital, painting and tilling of wards 8 and 9, annually supporting the Jomo Kenyatta home for the handicapped run by the Kenya Red Cross society in Embu, provision of meals to the less fortunate in the society and feeding the hungry and also doing corporate cleaning and planting of trees in Embu

Bimas does appreciate that it operates within a society and thus has a responsibility in that society. As the company, it contributes to sustainable development by delivering social and environmental support and benefits to all stakeholders and parties involved including children

St. Stephen Children Home, is a home in Embu having more than 100 extremely needy children  who rely on well wishers for survival. This institution supports children without parental care or at risk of losing it.

On this day, Nicholas Mugendi, the General Manager of the company, led a team visiting the institution and have time to remind the needy children that they have special in their heart and that would continue standing with them to ensure they live a happy life.

Among present were Marketing and Insurance Manager, Backson Ndiba, ICT Manager, Kimathi Marangu, Legal Manager Christabel Mbuya, Audit Manager, Edward Kariithi, Operations Managers Simon Mbuthia and Cecilia Mumbi.
